Antonio and Suzanne Viscariello founded La Toscana Italian Restaurant in 2001 and undertook a major extension and refurbishment programme in 2004, with another mini refurb in 2007. As the only true, family owned independent Italian restaurant in Billericay and surrounding areas, we take pride in providing our customers with a dining experience to remember. Antonio travels to Billingsgate and Smithfield markets every week to hand select the fish and meat, so our customers can be sure that all the produce is fresh and of the very best quality. Antonio divides his time between La Toscana and his stunning new restaurant, La Vista in Great Baddow, Chelmsford. When not at La Toscana, the reins are firmly in the hands of Head Chef, Leonard Turner and Sous Chef, Natalia Rigotti who have been with the restaurant for many years. Having trained under Antonio since the age of 16, Leonard knows how important it is to ensure the customers’ expectations are met. And he rarely disappoints! The food at La Toscana has been described as “outstanding” and “incomparable” by many of our customers and our legion of loyal regulars are testament to the quality of dishes that are produced in the kitchen. Everything is cooked to order, with no dish being pre-prepared. We can therefore easily cater for all tastes. The service is also of the utmost importance. There are not many restaurants where both the food and the service are exceptional. At La Toscana, you are assured polite, friendly and attentive service without it being intrusive. Many of the staff have been with us for two years or more and they all understand how important it is to ensure that each customer gets individual attention and has a great experience, whatever the occasion.
