We are passionate about the quality of all our wines, but Antonio has put together a small list that he feels epitomises the very best of Italian wine making. These wines are personal favourites and although not everyday wines, we hope you will try them some time.

Terre De La Custodia Sagrantino di Montefalco DOC, Italy (2009) £50.60
Vibrant ruby red with hints of violet. Complex and bold, this wine is easily identified by its aromas of blackberries, raspberries and spices. Very persistent on the palate, this is a full bodied, well-structured wine with warm, smooth tannins. Serve with roasted red meats, game and spicy mature cheeses

Col d’Orcia Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Italy (2009/10) £51.60
Ruby red with violet hues. An intense, full bodied and elegant bouquet with fruity notes of ripe blackberry and raspberry – typical of Sangiovese. On the palate it is highly structured, full and persistent. The ripe soft tannins are perfectly balanced, with a long, pleasant and sapid aftertaste
